Found only in the American candy section of supermarkets, it’s clear that root beer brands have yet to make their mark here in the UK. The root beer market feels stagnant, dominated by dull, brown barrel designs—so I set out to imagine what a bold challenger brand could look like.

As a root beer enthusiast, I created Hank’s Root Beer, a brand inspired by the adventurous spirit of the Old West. The identity embraces classic cowboy tropes but reimagines them with vibrant, friendly packaging designed to stand out on shelves and in meal deal fridges. It’s root beer with a refreshing twist, bringing a playful sense of adventure to a tired market.
