A staple of many personal Football Manager saves, I wanted to modernise the crest of Gefle IF. Gefle IF is a multi-sports club based in Gävle in Sweden. The current badge is a variation of a hand-drawn design, something that is common among many Scandinavian clubs. I have also always found it odd that the ‘Sky Blues’ sport a rather dark blue crest. In 2011, the ‘Sky Blues’ changed their home strips to mimic Argentina’s national team. I wanted to reflect this change in the new design. I also wanted to simplify the badge while still keeping the main features of the current one, in this case, the laurel leaves, the founding year, and the castle with three spires.
