The D&AD New Blood 2023 brief for eBay tasked us with convincing Gen Z to sell on eBay rather than its competitors. To meet the challenge, we fully embraced Gen Z humour, creating something weird, wacky, and unforgettable—so much so that it even caught the attention of eBay UK’s Instagram account.
Curated By eBay is a PR stunt realised as a pop-up museum, where selected items are showcased in a grand, gallery-like setting. This approach emphasises the selling power of stories, transforming ordinary items into something extraordinary. Inspired by surrealism, the accompanying animation features a playful digital collage style, adding an extra layer of creativity to the experience.
